A Gym seen in the Nintendo Direct trailer features the female protagonist standing on a floating system that transforms into a room. X and Y will feature Gyms like every other principal series name. The player now has the capacity to roller-skate, at least under particular conditions. The battle system is aesthetically overhauled, featuring more lively reactions to the attacks, for example when a Pokemon will be hit.
Unlike some other games in the main show, Pokemon X and Y feature a fully three dimensional style of game play, and 3D modeled characters and creatures are used, rather than sprites like was completed since Era I. The games will probably be accessible on the Nintendo 3DS.
